We have now re-launched e-tainmentnews.us and will be starting our ‘Festival Fever 2013′ competition soon where you will be able to win festival tickets and other great prizes in return for performing some easy tasks or by simply pressing an enter button, there will be many opportunities to enter and get involved.

On the right hand side you will see a ‘subscribe’ box, all you have to do is click the Register button at the bottom fill in some details and you are done. Organizers have updated the set times, the changes are very small but they know that this will give you, the fan, a better experience. Get ready.

Weekend Passes will be available at Amoeba and Vacation Vinyl until closing tomorrow (or until they sell out). Our good friends Origami Vinyl are also selling weekend passes but they are closing up shop at 6:00pm tomorrow. They are bringing their entire store to FYF Fest. Unreal. So much love for them.

There is also an exciting partnership with Sony Entertainment’s Music Unlimited for the Silent Disco. With a line up that is largely dominated by Atlanta’s burgeoning electronic scene, this tent is “quietly” shaping up to be the pre-festival favorite.  Next is CounterPoint’s culinary setup, anchored by D.B.A. Barbecue’s finger-licking fare and their recently launched Pudding Pop Kart, the constantly evolving area will showcase some of Atlanta’s favorite haunts and brands.

And finally… we have art. Tapping street turned fine artist, Greg Mike of ABV, over 1600 square feet of installations will pop up throughout the festival grounds for live painting over the course of the three day event.

Organizers have announced that THE FAINT have been added to FYF Fest, they will be closing one of the two main stages on Sunday, September 2nd. Joining them are GLASS CANDY along with KING TUFF and THE ORWELLS.

Last summer, EDC traveled to Orlando for the first time, transforming Tinker Field into an immersive carnival landscape complete with interactive art installations, carnival rides, theatrical performers, and a world-class musical soundtrack. This year, on November 9th & 10th, EDC makes its highly anticipated return to Orlando for another two-day audiovisual adventure.

Promoter AC Entertainment has announced the line up for the third annual Moogfest, the festival of electronic and visionary music that celebrates the innovative spirit of Bob Moog. Taking place on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the city Bob Moog called home, Moogfest 2012 continues building on its exciting reinvention of the Moogfest concept and features its most distinctly invigorating lineup to date.

Comprised of a diverse yet synergistic group of inspired performers, the 2012 Moogfest lineup includes Primus 3D, a stop on the first ever traveling 3D-enhanced live musical tour, Swedish electro-pop wonders Miike Snow, the electrifying Santigold as well as rare U.S. performances from some of electronic music’s most forward thinking artists including: Orbital, Richie Hawtin, Squarepusher, Carl Craig and Pantha du Prince. Skid Row at Buffalo Chip 2012Skid Row, the legendary heavy metal and hard rock band formed in 1987, will be playing the Legendary Buffalo Chip during the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling, on Friday, Aug. 10.

Skid Row was born in a garage in Toms River, N.J. and created a name for themselves in the club circuit, often packing houses during parties that they played at. Skid Row is comprised of Johnny Solinger on lead vocals, Rachel Bolan on bass and backing vocals, Snake Sabo on guitar and backing vocals, Scotti Hill on guitar and backing vocals and Rob Hammersmith on drums.

Music Midtown returns this September with a two day lineup that will excite all music lovers. Performers include headlining artists Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam, as well as other chart toppers such as The Avett Brothers, Florence + The Machine, T.I. and Ludacris.

Rounding out the lineup are newly announced artists Garbage, Neon Trees and Adam Ant  – Garbage recently self-released Not Your Kind Of People, on their own record label STUNVOLUME. Neon Trees’ 2010 debut album, Habits, was a double-platinum single; with their first single “Animal” which climbed to #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Alternative rock Chart. English musician, Adam Ant, started as part of the growing punk rock movement in the late 70’s and has reactivated his musical career with a US tour.

“It is now complete! We are really pleased at the 2012 schedule.” explains festival Promoter, Peter Conlon of Live Nation. “We are taking that next step after last year’s return. Not only did we add a day but we also have begun expanding music genres. Festival fans will get a full experience featuring great music, terrific event amenities and activities, a full food court and the perfect green space. All of this makes Music Midtown a valuable and yet very affordable ticket.”

Run DMC - Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012They haven’t performed together in over a decade, but the surviving members of Run-DMC are set to reunite this fall at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas.

Joseph Simmons, now known as Rev. Run, and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels retired the group after their DJ, Jam Master Jay, was killed in 2002. But it was announced Tuesday that the band will be among the performers for the Nov. 2-4 event. Festival organizers say they plan to donate some of the proceeds to the JMJ Foundation for Music, which works to give youth access to the arts.

MusicfestNW 2012, PortlandAgainst Me - Music Fest NWAGAINST ME! TO ROCK THE HAWTHORNE THEATRE AT MFNW 2012!!

Punk rockers Against Me! have been added to the MFNW 2012 Lineup! Laura Jane Grace and company will be headlining the Hawthorne Theatre on Wednesday September 5th as part of the bands freshly announced west coast tour.

Tickets will be sold at the Hawthorne Theatre door on the day of the show.  You can also gain admission with a MFNW wristband.

Against Me! has come a long way since forming in 1997, including a stint on Sire Records which ended in November 2010, and led to the formation of the band’s own label Total Trebel Music. The band started recording its sixth studio album in February of 2012 and will be very busy in the following months. Keep an eye out for the new album and be sure to catch them this fall at MFNW!!
