The History of 311 Pow Wow Festival

The Pow Wow Festival will be held at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park; a 500 acre park and campground along the Suwannee River, in northern Florida.  311′s first ever multi-day music festival! The festival will feature two stages with great bands playing day and night! Camping is allowed and encouraged!

A powwow is many things. It’s a time of celebration. It’s a homecoming, a gathering of friends and families. And so much more. Powwows are centuries-old traditions for many American Indian nations. These summer gatherings bring together members of each tribe for music, songs and dancing. Welcome to Pow Wow Festival 2011; a celebration of music and community. We look forward to sharing this amazing experience with all of you!

Festival organizer & headliner, 311 will play 4 sets (2 on Friday and 2 on Saturday). And for the first time ever, 311 will play their album TRANSISTOR in its entirety!

love to attend all pow wow,s. It is so spiritual and just to be among the many tribes is so amazing. My grand mother was half cherokee and it has made me feel so close to the festivals and the different cultures. Never wont to leave when they are over.
