Summer’s Last Stand, North Coast Music Festival, has revealed the third and final wave of artists to the festival’s third year!

Joining the already eclectic line up is mash-up maestro Girl Talk, instrumental electronic-jam band STS9, live bass heavy belly dancing Beats Antique, Pretty Lights Music recording artist and producer Gramatik, modern eclectic jammers Papadosio, dubstep monster Minnesota, hip hop duo Two Fresh, Chicago’s own Midnight Conspiracy, Brainfeeder bass virtuoso Thundercat, and more!

North Coast Music Festival Line Up 2012

This year, the Groupon Silent Disco has expanded to a dome, housing over 200 festival goers with some of the best music from Chicago artists. Attendees will notice the dome, with people dancing inside in what looks like silence. But each person will have headphones streaming what the DJ is mixing. The Groupon Noise Refuge Personal Time Silent Disco featuring the following DJs:

Pygmalion Festival, IllinoisFINAL THREE HEADLINERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2012!

Pygmalion Music Festival organizers have announced the three remaining headliners for this year’s festival line up!

Electro-thrash indie artists SLEIGH BELLS, will kick off this year’s festival at Canopy Club on Thursday September 27, and sunny-post punks BEST COAST will perform the late show on Friday September 28, after DIRTY PROJECTORS, who will perform at an open-air outdoors, all ages show — the first of its kind in downtown Urbana in 8 years of Pygmalion Music Festival — presented by Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

GRIZZLY BEAR and DINOSAUR JR. will headline the Saturday September 29 outdoor show in Downtown Champaign for this year’s Pygmalion Music Festival.

Other artists being announced today include Laetitia Sadier (of Stereolab), Hundred Waters, Eternal Summers, Night Beds, and So Many Dynamos.

After selling out the first 2 year’s, the third annual NORTH COAST MUSIC FESTIVAL takes over Chicago’s Union Park with some of the biggest names in electronic music, jam bands, hip-hop, and more!

The wait for clarity has ended. NCMF organizers have greeted fans this morning by announcing the lineup for each individual day of Summer’s Last Stand. A very limited amount of $40 tickets will immediately become available for each festival day, increasing to $45 once this allotment is snatched up by eager festival goers.

More NCMF “Afters” + Official Kickoff Party –  In case you can’t wait until Friday, September 2nd to begin the debauchery, the team behind Chicago Hip Hop Connects will be hosting an Official Kickoff Party in the House of Blues Foundation Room on Thursday, September 1st. While this intimate kickoff gathering is open to everyone, the story with the Three Afters at Bottom Lounge announced today stays the same. To purchase tickets for these official North Coast Music Festival After Parties, fans must purchase an equal or greater number of tickets to the Festival itself.

North Coast Festival, Chicago, IllinoisMORE BANDS AND AFTER PARTIES ANNOUNCED FOR NORTH COAST FESTIVAL!

Today, organizers have unveiled the last four at-large festival additions: Latyrx (a Reunion feat. Lyrics Bornand Lateef the Truth Speaker), New Mastersounds, Lettuce and Lance Herbstrong.  After today, the only three remaining spots on the entire bill will be rewarded through the second incarnation of the wildly popular “Toast of the Coast” play-in contest.

If you haven’t grabbed your festival passes yet, now’s the time to do so!  Because if you don’t have tickets to the festival, you can’t buy tickets to the first round of After Parties, announced and on-sale today.   You can grab these tickets free of convenience charges all weekend at The Mid/React/NCMF booth at the Taste of Randolph.  3-Day Pass prices are soon to increase and all the afterparties last year SOLD-OUT so now is the time to buy.

North Coast Festival, Chicago, IllinoisNORTH COAST FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SECOND WAVE OF ACTS FOR 2011

Any doubts about North Coast’s stronger lineup in year two will certainly be laid to rest with today’s announcement of nine additional acts.  Low-end monger BASSNECTAR joins big beat icon FATBOY SLIM and Elephant 6 standouts OF MONTREAL atop the second wave of North Coast acts announced for the fest’s second incarnation.

Also included in today’s additions is Diplo-collab MAJOR LAZER trance legend ATB, soul-revivalists THE BUDOS BAND, JAMES ZABIELA, Austin-based live electro duo AUTO BODY and local roots rockers GREAT DIVIDE.

Festival organizers will follow this announcement with two more rounds of artists in the coming weeks.  Full-priced tickets will also be available at www.northcoastfestival.com/tickets
