Buffalo Chip Sturgis Rally, South DakotaLYNYRD SKYNYRD TO ROCK THE CHIP 2012

Southern Rock’s most influential band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, will take the Buffalo Chip stage they helped introduce in 1999, during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Sturgis biker music fans from around the world have for years been riding America’s highways to the sounds of “They Call Me The Breeze,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” and “Gimme Three Steps.”

Festival organizers have announced the addition of Jeff Bridges and his friends John Fogerty and Stevie Nicks.  They will be playing in support of the Bob Woodruff Foundation that helps service members and their families make a smooth re-entry into their communities

PUDDLE OF MUDD will join Saving Abel and Tesla on Friday, Aug. 12 at the Legendary Buffalo Chip in an awesome night of active, alternative and classic rock. Great rock hits like “Blurry,” Psycho,” “Control,” and “She Hates Me” are just a few of the tunes showcasing these flawless hard-rock monsters, led by frontman and rhythm guitarist Wes Scantlin.

Gregg Allman will bring his iconic Southern Blues Rock music to biker music fans with all of his standards as well as a new catalog of road-worthy travelin’ tunes from his new T. Bone Burnett, produced album, “Low Country Blues.” Allman joins Lynyrd Skynyrd for what is bound to become a Southern Rock night to remember. The South’s gonna rise again at the Legendary Buffalo Chip!

Buffalo Chip Sturgis Rally, South DakotaBUCKCHERRY TO PLAY BUFFALO CHIP

Inked-up rocker Josh Todd and the boys from Buckcherry will join Def Leppard in concert at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground on Monday, Aug. 8, the official start of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

“Buckcherry has become the heavy metal hard rockin’ voice of the new generation,” said Rod Woodruff, campground owner. “I know that the bikers who make a hard rock concert part of their Sturgis vacation will be thrilled with a night of Def Leppard and Buckcherry”.

Buffalo Chip Sturgis Rally, South DakotaEDGAR WINTER TO TAKE A FREE RIDE TO THE BUFFALO CHIP

EDGAR WINTER, the multi-talented artist responsible for hits like “Free Ride” and “Frankenstein”, will be joining Poison, Bachman & Turner, Alice Cooper, George Thorogood, Toby Keith and others during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to help the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground celebrate 30 years of the Best Party Anywhere with a concert on Friday Aug. 5.

Winter, who has been rocking and rolling for over 35 years has been tirelessly working on a new album titled Rebel Road which includes appearances by country superstar Clint Black, rock legend Slash, and Winter’s iconic guitarist brother, Johnny. The album is a tribute to real rock and roll and its fans with 11 tracks that mix rock with blues and country to create an electrifying experience that is sure to ignite any crowd.
