After months of speculation about who will be confirmed for this year’s Austin City Limits festival, we can now reveal that Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young and Crazy Horse and The Black Keys will be headlining this year’s festival and will be joined by a host of top acts from across the world!

Austin City Limits takes place at Zilker Park, Austin, Texas from the 12th – 14th October  and some of the acts already announced include – Jack White, Florence + The Machine, The Avett Brothers, Iggy & The Stooges, AVICII, BASSNECTAR, The Roots, The Shins, Weezer, Gotye, The Civil Wars, M83, Tegan and Sara, Childish Gambino, Two Door Cinema Club, Thievery Corporation, The Afghan Whigs, Crystal Castles, Andrew Bird, Gary Clark Jr., Metric, Band of Skulls, Esperanza Spalding, Alabama Shakes, Delta Spirit, M. Summerfest officials today announced the highly anticipated lineup and additional details for the new BMO Harris Pavilion. The new covered stage will be the shining star of Phase 2 of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.’s two-year, $35,000,000 redevelopment project on the sound end of Henry Maier Festival Park and help enhance Milwaukee’s lakefront.

Milwaukee’s new and unique lakefront venue will feature a capacity of approximately 10,000 and host the music industry’s hottest performers during the 11 days of Summerfest, and throughout the rest of the summer. Celebrating direct spectacular views of downtown Milwaukee and Lake Michigan, the new venue will feature an iconic, wave-inspired roof, which will cover more than an acre of space (approximately 50,000 square feet) and will provide protection from the elements for approximately 5,000 high-quality permanent seats and bleachers with backrests. Additionally, the venue will accommodate another approximately 5,000 patrons in its standing room viewing area adjacent to the venue and outside of the roof line. The BMO Harris Pavilion will feature state-of-the-art production capabilities and large video screens coupled with a contoured seating bowl to enhance attendees’ viewing experience and sightlines. The area will also feature a permanent elevated lakeside bar with viewing area under the roof and newly constructed public restrooms adjacent to the area.

The stage area will be enhanced by a lakeside restaurant to serve patrons and attendees. Fans can enjoy the all of the venue amenities and entertainment at the BMO Harris Pavilion during Summerfest as part of their Summerfest admission. Free Press Houston have announced another stupendous year of music, art and unbridled joy this June 2nd and 3rd at Free Press Summer Fest.

This year organisers are particularly proud of a lineup that spans musical landscapes and draws people who wear all kinds of different shoes. The 2012 headliners include ascendant darlings The Avett Brothers, Grammy-nominated rapper Snoop Dogg, Americana legend and 7 time Grammy winner Willie Nelson, punk-rock sages Descendents, EDM artist Afrojack, Primus, a return by The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon this time around, dancehall duo Major Lazer, H-town representa’ Z-RO, R&B legends Morris Day and The Time, Best Coast, Shabazz Palaces, Wavves, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, and so much more. This year’s festival will also feature an expanded arts presence with more interactive installations, traveling artists, screen print artwork, and programs on site to allow fest goers a chance for hands on interactive fun times. Craft, art, and music workshops lead by local artists and musicians will give attendees of the festival the opportunity to experiment with sound modulators and circuit bent toys and instruments. There will be more site specific installations than ever before and will feature work by local and national artists and engineers. TX/RX Labs, a Houston based nonprofit workshop and engineering team is designing a 30-foot water wall that will turn on and off sensing movement.

Bonnaroo Festival 2012, TennesseeTHE BONNAROO 2012 LINE UP IS FINALLY HERE!

This year’s Bonnaroo festival returns to Manchester, Tennessee for the 11th time from the 7th – 10th June 2012.  That’s four days and 700 acres of art, workshops, vendors, top-notch comedians — remember, we nabbed John Waters in a skull-printed blazer — and, of course, more than 150 of your favorite musicians. Plus, room for everyone to crash. Like you had to ask.
